Julie Lampard

Private Chef

My passion for food began early, transforming a childhood hobby into a fulfilling career. At 15, I started in the food industry scooping ice cream at Chautauqua Institution and worked my way up to head cook. After high school, a serendipitous application to culinary school, submitted by a friend, set my path.

I graduated in 2003 with a degree in Culinary Science from Mercyhurst University, which laid a strong foundation for my career. I honed my skills under influential chefs like Troy Walker, Scott Bova, Mark Hutchinson, and Mike Haefner, each contributing to my growth and passion for diverse cuisines.

My journey took me from local kitchens to Buffalo's Hutch's, where my love for ethnic flavors flourished. Nicknamed "Julie Cupcake" for my love of baking, I explored and embraced the vibrant food culture of the city.

Returning to Jamestown, I became head chef at Forte, where I spent seven years crafting menus and connecting with the community. Known as Julie from Forte, these years were pivotal.

Now retired from restaurant life, I focus on sharing my love for food through Taste Buds. I offer private cooking lessons and dinner parties, believing that anyone can cook with the right guidance. Join me in creating delicious memories, whether in my home or yours.
